Control kits for gas heating appliances include the CK-20Fv and CK-21. The CK-20FV is used for 30 millivolt gas-fired water heaters and gas-fired pool or spa heaters with a manual or internally mounted thermostat. The CK-21 is used for gas-fired instantaneous water heaters with pressure tap port in the burner manifold.

Control Kits are ETL approved accessories when used in conjunction with the SWG Power Venter.

How Do Thermal Safety Switches Work?

The Thermal Safety Switch detects the increased heat generated by the flue gas spillage and deactivates the furnace or boiler. It will not allow the burner to restart until the switch has been manually reset.

WHAT CONTROL KIT DO I USE FOR AN OIL BURNING APPLIANCE?
Refer to the Contractor Reference Guide to select the proper kit for your application.

WHAT IS A THERMAL SAFETY SWITCH OR THERMAL CUTOFF SWITCH?
A thermal safety switch or thermal cutoff switch is an electrical safety device that interrupts electric current when heated to a specific temperature. These devices may be for one-time use or may be reset manually or automatically. These switches are use on barometric draft controls and draft hoods to detect flue gas spillage and deactivate oil and gas burners. These switches cut off the current to critical heating appliances when a temperature limit is exceeded preventing potential burn out or failure.
